How do you pick up the threads of an old life?
How do you go on, when in your heart you begin to understand
there is no going back.
There are some things that time can not mend.
Some hurts that go too deep,
that have taken hold.
I once told you my part in this tale would end,
the tale of an Elf is over.
That each of us must come and go in the telling.
My task is now finished and
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
You have so much to enjoy, and to be, and to do.
Your part in this story will go on
Why have you come?
Now I know why, but it is a shadow and
a thought that you love,
I can not give you what you seek.
I looked into your future and I saw the answer of
one of my question that I would never be able to face.
If I should leave you now, that would be my regression forever.
There's nothing for me in here,
there's no place for me in your future..
I can not protect you anymore..
Why should I ride to the aid of those who did not come to me?
What do i owe them? So...

Against All Drugs
Not because of this day is International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, but today we carry on great burden to prevent this evil from our friends, families and kids. Be a real friend. If you know someone with a drug problem, be part of the solution. Urge your friend to get help. Do the smart thing. Using drugs puts your health, education, family ties, and social life at risk.
If you think "everybody's doing it," you're wrong! Doing drugs won't make you happy or popular or help you to learn the skills you need as you grow up. Face your problems. Using drugs won't help you escape your problems, it will only create more. Using drugs won't make you more famous than Jimi Hendrix or Janis Joplin, in fact, doing drugs can cause you to fail at all of these things. This disease doesn't care what you do. This disease doesn't care if you're a street sweeper or the President of United States, 'it will take you down if you've got it'. Be brave enough to speak out, and become role models who remind us that addiction is not a question of shame, but a cry for help.
If drug addiction is a disease, is there a cure? There is no cure for drug addiction, but it is a treatable disease; drug addicts can recover. Recovery is the most difficult thing you'll ever embark on in your life. But once again, Treatment Works but Prevention is Better. Are you ready to say NO to drugs? Just say NO...
Not today, not tomorrow. How about never?!
